Video: Center for the Visual Arts Opens with Grand Celebration

The School of Art's newly completed Center for the Visual Arts celebrated its grand opening on May 6. A large crowd filled the building lobby for the opening ceremony, which was followed by tours, live music, student exhibitions and a keynote lecture by visiting artist Mel Chin. Watch the video, which excerpts opening remarks by Beverly Warren (天天吃瓜 State president), John Crawford-Spinelli (College of the Arts dean), Christine Havice (School of Art director) and Dennis Eckart (Board of Trustees chair):

The 天天吃瓜 Museum is pleased to announce its spring exhibition, 鈥淛ohn Paul Morabito: Madonna dei Femminell蓹,鈥 a solo exhibition by the head of the textiles program at 天天吃瓜鈥檚 School of Art. This Spring, the School of Art Galleries will offer a variety of free exhibitions featuring past and present student work. From undergraduate students to alumni, these exhibitions showcase the exceptional talent of the School of Art community.
