Guila Diaz Boriello

Giulia Borriello, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in Learning Sciences and Educational Psychology whose work integrates perspectives, techniques, and methods across developmental and cognitive science, behavioral genetics, and education. Dr. Borriello鈥檚 research program aims to examine how: (1) an array of cognitive and math skills co-develop and interact with one another to influence learning, (2) family-level factors influence cognitive and math skills, and (3) gene-environment transactions influence learning trajectories. To date, she has published 14 peer-reviewed articles in high-impact journals including in PNAS, Child Development, Child Development Perspectives, and Developmental Science. Findings from her program aim to clarify the individual, risk, and protective factors that enable children to maximize their learning potential.
