Tributary: Students and Kathleen Browne

ΜμΜμ³ΤΉΟ, Ohio – The School of Art Collection and Galleries at ΜμΜμ³ΤΉΟ is pleased to announce a new exhibit, β€œTributary: Students and Kathleen Browne.” 

This exhibition was organized by Professor Emeritus Kathleen Browne and explores part of the history and legacy of Jewelry, Metals and Enameling at ΜμΜμ³ΤΉΟ and features the work of over thirty alumni from all over the United States. The exhibit will be on display form April 18th – May 31st, 2025, in the KSU Downtown Gallery, located at 141 East Main Street in ΜμΜμ³ΤΉΟ, Ohio. There will be a reception on April 18th from 5-7 p.m. which is free and open to the public.

ΜμΜμ³ΤΉΟ Kathleen Browne

Kathleen Browne headed the Jewelry/Metals/Enameling department at ΜμΜμ³ΤΉΟ from 1992-2015. She received her B.A. from San Diego State University in 1983, and her M.F.A. from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale in 1986. Her artwork has been exhibited widely both in the U.S. and abroad and has been published and/or reviewed in numerous publications such as Metalsmith, American Craft, New Art Examiner, The New York Times, Dialogue, The Plain Dealer, The San Francisco Chronicle.  Her artwork has been published in thirteen books, and she has written a number of reviews, articles and catalogue essays for various publications. She is the recipient of five Artist Fellowship Grants from the Ohio Arts Council.
