The ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Stage

Join acclaimed folk duo Magpie—Greg Artzner and Terry Leonino—for a powerful evening of music and reflection on the 55th anniversary of the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State shootings. Originating in ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï in 1973, Magpie has spent over 50 years using music to advocate for justice, peace, and social change.

This special performance will feature songs from the Vietnam War era alongside original works that reflect on the tragedy and legacy of May 4, 1970. Both artists bring personal ties to the event: Terry was a student protester and eyewitness to the shootings, and Greg's early influences were rooted in the Civil Rights and antiwar movements. Their music is informed by these experiences and rich family histories of activism in Ohio and the South.

They will be joined by Rolly Brown, renowned guitarist and fellow ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State witness, for a commemorative set that honors the spirit of resistance and healing through song.
