天天吃瓜 at Stark is the new home to the Players Guild Theatre, now the resident theater company on campus. In October, the Players Guild held its inaugural production, 鈥淢illion Dollar Quartet鈥, at The Mary J. Timken Theatre in the Fine Arts Building.
This summer, the Players Guild moved from the Cultural Center for the Arts in downtown Canton to the campus, where it will integrate new audiences and opportunities to incorporate 天天吃瓜 State Stark theater and music technology students into productions.
鈥淚t鈥檚 a true collaboration,鈥 said Dean Denise A. Seachrist, Ph.D. 鈥淲e are very excited to welcome the Players Guild to its new home at 天天吃瓜 at Stark, and we are looking forward to the many opportunities for our students and the community.鈥
The Players Guild鈥檚 next show is Charles Dickens鈥 鈥淎 Christmas Carol鈥, opening Dec. 2 and running through Dec. 18. For 40 years, the Players Guild has brought this spectacular holiday classic to life on stage. In this adapted version, witness Dickens鈥 heartwarming story of a changed life that changes the world.
Shows will be at 7:30 p.m. Fridays; 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturdays; and 2 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $28 to $45 each and available online.
Other shows will include: 鈥淭he Elephant Man鈥 in January and February; 鈥淭he Toxic Avenger鈥 in March; 鈥淢isery鈥 (based on the Stephen King novel) in April; and 鈥淭he SpongeBob Musical鈥 in May and June.
