Stark Campus Testing Center is Nationally Certified

In a world where millions of educational, certification and licensing exams happen each year, it’s crucial to have secure testing locations with well-trained staff. One local testing center has done just that and set the bar for others, according to the National College Testing Association (NCTA).

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï at Stark’s Testing Center has successfully renewed its certification from the NCTA, a certification that requires strict NCTA Professional Standards and Guidelines to ensure high-quality testing programs at colleges.

The Testing Center at ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State Stark is among test centers in the U.S. and worldwide that have completed this difficult recertification process. The campus’ renewed certification will stay in place for five years, and it can be extended as national standards continue to be met.

Stark’s Testing Center promotes student learning experiences by following established procedures for administering tests in a professional and standardized manner. Led by Academic Services Coordinator Darcy McBride, Ph.D., the center supports students, ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï faculty and test sponsors, both domestic and abroad, by managing tests promptly, fairly and accurately.

In a prepared statement released Aug. 29, the NCTA congratulated McBride and the team at the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Stark Campus Testing Center for keeping high standards in test administration and providing excellent service to students and community members.

The National College Testing Association is a nonprofit focused on promoting professionalism and quality service in test programs. NCTA has more than 2,200 testing pros from 650 colleges and universities, plus 50 test companies and organizations offering test-related products and services.
