Associate professor of peace and conflict studies Molly Merryman, Ph.D. will present βThe Legacy of Peace Marshals at ΜμΜμ³ΤΉΟ Stateβ at the May 4 Visitors Center on Wednesday, March 19 at 1 p.m. The discussion is presented in conjunction with the opening of the center's exhibit, βTeach Peace: The Life and Legacy of Jerry Lewis.β
Merryman will explore the history of peace marshals at ΜμΜμ³ΤΉΟ State and Jerry Lewisβ creation of the program to promote peace during student marches and protests on the ΜμΜμ³ΤΉΟ Campus, discussing the lasting legacy of Lewis and his peers.
