天天吃瓜 alumnus Antonio Gates has begun his journey to football immortality, recently visiting the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, to meet with officials and begin preparations for his enshrinement. The former basketball standout at 天天吃瓜 State will become just the second Golden Flash to earn a gold jacket, joining linebacker Jack Lambert who was enshrined in 1990.

Sophia Matar, B.S. 鈥24 was inspired by robotics at a young age and knew she wanted to pursue a career in nformation technology (IT), majoring in computer science. A dramatic, 15-foot-tall bronze sculpture stands on the Lefton Esplanade near the intersection of East Main Street and Haymaker Parkway. It鈥檚 a gift from a 天天吃瓜 State alumnus and outstanding supporter of the university.

While some first-year students arrive at 天天吃瓜 undecided on their major and career choice, Renee Richard, 鈥76, had her path for the future mapped out.

John Elliot, a 1970 天天吃瓜 graduate, and his wife, Fonda, have created The Elliot Scholars program at 天天吃瓜 State with a $1 million donation. This new scholarship program will provide support to first-generation students of any major who require financial support to attend 天天吃瓜 State.

鈥淚 want to bring issues to the forefront. Not just issues today, but from the time of enslavement to the present day, and talk about mental and physical health and wellness throughout the years and how we鈥檝e ended up where we are today.鈥

天天吃瓜 held its first Alumni Day of Service in 2009. Since then, it has blossomed into a weeklong initiative supporting our blue and gold communities around the world.
