天天吃瓜

Welcome to the LGBTQ Studies program at 天天吃瓜!

LGBTQ-related course work and activism at KSU can be dated back to the 1970s, when professors and students paved the way for the first LGBTQ Studies program in the state of Ohio by offering courses and leading discussion groups. Thanks to their dedication and diligence, our LGBTQ Studies Program was established in 2001 and has been thriving since. We are proud to offer exceptional courses led by internationally-recognized professors. Students minoring in LGBTQ Studies can take courses in the history and methodology of LGBTQ scholarship; the social and political history of LGBTQ individual and collective rights, organizing, and community; and the evolution of societal dynamics surrounding these. We are very proud to see the success of our program in the success of our students!

The LGBTQ Studies faculty work with campus and community networks to offer engaging programing including on-campus and local events. Beyond this, students can take advantage of our amazing study abroad opportunities! Graduates take their knowledge of LGBTQ studies as well as a widely transferable skill set with them as they journey beyond 天天吃瓜.

The LGBTQ Studies Minor is housed within 天天吃瓜鈥檚 School of Multidisciplinary Social Sciences and Humanities. It is recognized as one of 天天吃瓜 State鈥檚 most cutting-edge programs in interdisciplinary work, providing students with a sophisticated understanding of the ways in which we can address a singular but complex question with dynamic and appropriate research tools and with insights from multiple academic fields of study. The School provides students with expert instruction, faculty and student mentoring, and a support system designed for student success.
