Mozart鈥檚 opera 鈥淭he Magic Flute鈥 provides the basis for an exhibition of costumes and theatrical designs at the 天天吃瓜 Museum. 鈥淢agical Designs for Mozart鈥檚 鈥楳agic Flute,鈥欌 curated by theatrical and opera designer Judy Levin, is open at the museum September 29,鈥
The 天天吃瓜 Museum brings the work of contemporary fashion designers from two southern African nations to Ohio in a new exhibition.
鈥(dis)ABLED BEAUTY: The Evolution of Beauty, Disability and Ability鈥 will run July 29, 2016, to March 12, 2017, in the museum鈥檚 Stager and Blum Galleries. There will also be a free reception on Thursday, September 29, from 5 to 7 p.m.
鈥淔ashions of Southern Africa鈥 is curated by Sara Hume, Ph.D., and runs August 26, 2016 - July 2, 2017 in the museum鈥檚 Higbee Gallery. The museum will also host a free preview reception from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 25.
The 天天吃瓜 Museum and School of Theatre and Dance are teaming up to present a unique event celebrating the perennial glamor and allure of the 1920s. This special program on Feb. 17 is presented in conjunction with the museum鈥檚 鈥淔lapper Style: 1920s Fashion鈥濃
The 天天吃瓜 Museum will present its new exhibit 鈥淔lapper Style: Fashions of the 1920s鈥 in the museum鈥檚 Broadbent Gallery from Sept. 25, 2015, to Sept. 4, 2016. The museum will also host a special preview reception, featuring drinks and refreshments, on Thursday,鈥
The 天天吃瓜 Museum will be closed for maintenance on Saturday, July 25, and will reopen Sunday, July 26. Sunday hours are noon to 4:45 p.m.
