This June I was invited to the Primate Research Institute (PRI) of Kyoto University as a 鈥淒istinguished Visiting Senior Lecturer鈥 in the area of primate population genomics. My host was Professor Hirohisa Hirai, a former director of the PRI and a leading researcher in the areas of primate molecular cytogenetics and chromosome evolution.
