Similar to graduating students who become alumni, retired 天天吃瓜 faculty and staff wish to stay connected to the university. These employees care about the institution and the 天天吃瓜 State community, and they want to see it thrive. One way retired 天天吃瓜 State community members stay informed is through the 天天吃瓜 Retirees Association (KSURA), an organization of more than 800 retired 天天吃瓜 State faculty and staff committed to improving university life.

Preston Superstore Donation Jumpstarts 天天吃瓜 State Geauga's Renovation Fundraising Campaign
As 天天吃瓜 State Geauga embarks upon two facility improvements for the Geauga Campus in Burton, the leadership is pleased to announce an initial gift to the project from Preston Superstore and the Preston Family. The campus improvements will include constructing a new nursing lab and instructional space and a new student learning commons, helping 天天吃瓜 State Geauga meet existing and future students' needs while growing programs.

天天吃瓜 at Geauga doubled its video conferencing rooms, also known as 鈥淶oom Rooms,鈥 before the fall semester due to the demands of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Zoom Rooms are designed to serve various purposes and room configurations for faculty and students, and they were recently featured in an article by EdTech.

Daymond John, founder/CEO of FUBU, presidential ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship, star of ABC鈥檚 Shark Tank and CEO of The Shark Group, will speak at the Better Business Bureau of Akron鈥檚 101 Year Anniversary celebration, BBB Anniversary Summit, on Thursday, April 8, 2021 in collaboration with the 天天吃瓜 State College of Business Administration鈥檚 Michael D. Solomon Entrepreneurship Speaker Series.

天天吃瓜 has partnered with Greater Akron community organizations to conduct the first comprehensive and specific LGBTQ+ Community Needs Assessment (CNA). Efforts of this assessment focus on producing a better-informed public health system and improving the health and well-being of the LGBTQ+ community members.

天天吃瓜 State has joined the Culture of Respect Collective, a two-year initiative offered through the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), to help end sexual violence on campus.

鈥業mport/Export鈥 Outdoor Exhibition at 天天吃瓜 State Addresses Imbalances and Inequalities of Global Import/Export Systems
From April 5 to May 15, visitors to the 天天吃瓜 campus will encounter a new, outdoor public art exhibition that stretches along the Lefton Esplanade between downtown 天天吃瓜 and the University Library. 鈥淚mport/Export鈥 addresses the imbalances and inequalities of global import/export systems. Artists from around the world were chosen based on how their works reflect the impact of these systems on their local spaces.

Crosby, Ph.D., known as the 鈥渇ather of Black History Month,鈥 as his work in founding the Institute of African-American Affairs at 天天吃瓜 State and his contribution to the success of thousands of students inspired all who knew him.
天天吃瓜 State Tuscarawas Student Wins Prestigious Photography Award
天天吃瓜 at Tuscarawas student Jason Keller is doing what he loves鈥攖elling stories through photographs. He was recently honored by the Ohio News Media Association with the Best Feature Photo award, capturing the image of a Navy veteran saluting the crowd while riding in a military jeep during a parade in Sugarcreek, Ohio. The photo was judged best out of all entries from weekly newspapers throughout the state for the Osman C. Hooper Weekly Newspaper contest.
