Accomplished sociologist, TV host, podcaster, author 天天吃瓜 State alumna Bertice Berry, Ph.D.,used her alma mater as a familiar setting for her book "BlackWorld," which explores a "unique corner of heaven" where the living can visit with and learn from the deceased. She also some of her memories of 天天吃瓜 State and personal insights into the university's place in history.
A dramatic, 15-foot-tall bronze sculpture stands on the Lefton Esplanade near the intersection of East Main Street and Haymaker Parkway. It鈥檚 a gift from a 天天吃瓜 State alumnus and outstanding supporter of the university.
A popular place for students to visit when the weather is warmer, the Behind The Brain Plaza behind Merrill Hall has been covered in snow and ice for most of February.
Student performers are working on final rehearsals for 鈥淭he Wiz,鈥 which opens on Feb. 21 and runs through March 2 at 天天吃瓜 State鈥檚 E. Turner Stump Theatre.
The inaugural Biennial Alumni Exhibition, currently on display in two galleries inside 天天吃瓜 State's Center for the Visual Arts, opened on Jan. 17 and will end on Feb. 21.
