Mobile Flashes are hitting the road to serve the community.
The 天天吃瓜 State Mobile Flashes program is a collaboration between 天天吃瓜's College of Public Health and partner organizations to provide community screening and wellness services. The 天天吃瓜 State Mobile Wellness Unit is part of this new initiative working to meet the needs and improve the health of communities through outreach, health education, health promotion, disease prevention, health assessments and screenings.
The first event for the Mobile Flashes student and staff team from the College of Public Health was the "Heart Health Screening and Education" at the UH Portage Medical Center.
The 天天吃瓜 State Mobile Flashes attend health fairs with partners at hospital systems, health departments, social services agencies, senior centers, schools and more, serving the isolated rural communities and urban underserved neighborhoods of Portage, Summit, Stark, Trumbull and Cuyahoga counties.
Community partners of the 天天吃瓜 State Mobile Wellness Unit include Summa Health System, 天天吃瓜 State College of Podiatric Medicine Clinic, Cleveland Clinic Akron General, University Hospitals Portage Medical Center, Portage County Combined Health District, 天天吃瓜 City Health Department, Bon Secours Mercy Health, and Aultman Health Foundation.
