Research shows that sitting for long periods of time increases the risk of health complications, so it is recommended to break up sitting time with a few minutes of light physical activity every 30 to 60 minutes. Join Employee Wellness and Recreation & Wellness Services on May 12, for Get Fit, Don't Sit Day, an outdoor event featuring an open walk, Poker Walk, and Poker Walk Plus at the track and field behind DeWeese Health Center.
Whether you are coming to stretch your legs, walk, run, or do a full workout, let鈥檚 get on the move together for Get Fit, Don鈥檛 Sit Day. There will be light refreshments, and all participants will be entered into our prize drawings.
Registration is preferred so that in the event of adverse weather registrants can be notified that all activities will be moved to the track on the upper level of the Student Recreation & Wellness Center. Learn more and register here.
