The family of Astrid N. Sambolin Morales, Ph.D., an assistant professor at ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State, is dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Fiona in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico. They have been without electricity since the storm hit Sunday Sept. 18, 2022.

The ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Board of Trustees welcomed the Class of 2026 at the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held Sept. 21 at the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Airport. ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State’s freshman class began classes on the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Campus nearly 7% larger than the previous year with 4,251 students – the eighth largest incoming class in the university’s 112-year history.
