Carol A. Cartwright, Ph.D., became ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State’s first female president in 1991 and was the first female president of any Ohio public college or university then. She was also a driving force in the establishment of ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Women’s Center.

Mascot Matchup Makes National Headlines
All eyes have been on Northeast Ohio the past several weeks as the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï and The University of Akron’s men’s and women’s basketball teams battled it out for the MAC championship title. It wasn’t always such a bitter rivalry between these two Northeast Ohio legends, however. Just look at this old footage we found of Flash and Zippy bonding back in the day.

Grants Provide Engineering Technology Students with High-Tech Electronic Equipment
Engineering technology students at ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï at Tuscarawas now have access to new state-of-the-art portable electronic equipment.
The high-tech equipment was purchased through the Governor’s Office of Appalachia (GOA) and the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) Workforce Development Grant for $182,000 with funding from Ohio Mid-Eastern Governments Association (OMEGA), Tuscarawas County Commissioners, ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï, Buckeye Career Center, OhioMeansJobs, Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce, and the Tuscarawas County Foundation.
