During the first full week of the spring semester, 天天吃瓜鈥檚 College of Aeronautics and Engineering provided two events for students, staff and faculty in the building to mingle and get to know each other, as a fun way to kick off the academic term.



Mock Trial Teams Host 10-Team Intercollegiate Regional Tournament
On January 20, 天天吃瓜 welcomed over 120 college students from across the region to its 鈥淕olden Flash Legal Clash,鈥 a two-day collegiate mock trial invitational held in the 天天吃瓜 Student Center. Proceeds from the event helped to raise funds for future events that 天天吃瓜 State鈥檚 Mock Trial teams plan to attend. The 10 student teams, including some from out-of-state, competed in four rounds. Teams from Case Western Reserve University finished first and second with third place going to a team from William & Mary. The opening and closing ceremonies were held in the 天天吃瓜 State Governance Chambers.

When you hear the word pageant, it likely conjures up images of tiaras, swimsuit competitions and ladies crying as they clutch an armful of roses on a brightly lit stage. But Lorain, Ohio, native and 天天吃瓜 alumna Monica Burgett, Ph.D., has triumphed on a pageant circuit that doesn鈥檛 include sparkling tiaras or bathing suit competitions.
